Jonathon Moldovan grew up in Sac City Iowa. While the town was small, his dreams were big. He pursued his undergraduate degree at Simpson College where he discovered a love for storytelling and a passion to perform. In the spring of 2021, Jonathon decided to further his music career and was accepted to UMKC. Now in Kansas City he endeavors to enrich the Metro with his robust voice and personality. Whether singing Puccini alongside his colleagues on stage or a solo set of Lieder, Jonathon is most comfortable dynamically tackling the most dramatic and romantic roles and music.

Previous engagements include: Chorus, Turandot Lyric Opera of Kansas City Chorus, Il Trovatore, with the KC Festival Opera, Le Duc with the UMKC Conservatory Opera. Rinuccio with the Varna International Academy of Music. He has performed as Don Curzio, The Tree Frog, and Pane with Simpson College Opera.

Not only a singer, Jonathan has participated in performances with the Des Moines Gamer Symphony Orchestra, both as a singer and playing trombone.  

Jonathon currently resides in Lenexa, Kansas. He holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Missouri Kansas City. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and English from Simpson College. In his spare time, he enjoys reading fantasy novels and homebrewing beer.
